Close account

To stop using Spendle, the account can be closed. After confirmation, a 5-day waiting period follows. After that, all data is permanently deleted — administrations, backups, and account details.

How it works

1. Create a backup first for each administration via hamburger menu > [administration name]:

   • Export to file — full encrypted backup for possible reuse in Spendle.
   • Export CSV — readable file with transactions, for import into another budgeting app that supports CSV.

2. Open More > Licence and select Close account in the licence screen. Also accessible once the trial period or licence has expired.

3. Confirm the choice. The account immediately enters the 5-day closure procedure.

4. 5-day waiting period. During this period it is not possible to log in or change the password. To cancel the closure, contact info@spendle.com.

5. Permanent deletion. After 5 days, all administrations, backups, and account details are permanently deleted.

Irreversible after 5 days

Within the 5-day waiting period, support can still restore the account. After that, nothing can be recovered. Make sure backups are safely stored before starting the procedure.

Reusing the same email address

Once the account is closed, a new Spendle account cannot be created under the same email address. To start over later, use a different email address.
