Exporting an administration

You export your administration via hamburger menu > [administration name]. Do you want to export all your data at once? See Export data.

Export to file

Section titled “Export to file”

A complete backup of your administration. The file is encrypted with your administration password. You can open it again in Spendle, for example on another device.

  1. Open hamburger menu > [administration name] > Export to file.

  2. Save the file.

Export CSV

Section titled “Export CSV”

A readable CSV file with your transactions. You can use it in Excel or in another budgeting app. You choose from: Since last export, Selected period, Selected account, All transactions or Everything (ZIP file).

  1. Open hamburger menu > [administration name] > Export CSV.

  2. Choose what you want to export.

  3. Save the file.

A CSV file is not encrypted. Anyone who opens it can read your transactions.
