Synchronising
With synchronisation, the same administration is available on every device. A transaction categorised on a desktop appears on your phone straight after. Synchronisation runs automatically via your Spendle account.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”-
Log in to your Spendle account on every device. Go to hamburger menu > Spendle account > Log in.
-
Upload the administration on your main device. Click the sync button next to your administration. The first time, Spendle asks for confirmation.
-
Open the administration on another device. Log in, choose Download administration and select it from the list.
-
Changes are synchronised automatically.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”Via More > Settings the synchronisation behaviour can be configured:
- Ask to download remote changes — Spendle notifies you when a change has been made on another device.
- Upload automatically — every change is sent to the cloud immediately.
Sync conflicts
Section titled “Sync conflicts”An administration cannot be edited on two devices at the same time. If changes are made on both, Spendle shows a conflict notice on the next sync with two options:
- Force upload of the working file — this device’s version is uploaded to the Spendle account and overwrites the cloud copy. Other devices receive this version on their next sync.
- Download and overwrite the working file — the cloud copy is pulled down and overwrites the local version. Changes that existed only on this device are lost in the process.
Agree on who works when, or sync after each session before the other person starts.
