Change your account email address

You change the email address of your Spendle account yourself in the app, with your current account password and a confirmation code sent to the new address. The old address is not needed for this.

How it works

  1. Open the hamburger menu and click your Spendle account.

  2. At the bottom, choose Change e-mail address.

  3. Enter the new email address and your current account password and click Send confirmation code.

  4. Enter the code from the mail and click Confirm new address.

The code arrives at the new address and is valid for 15 minutes. The old address receives a message about the request. After confirming you are signed in with the new address right away; if you had chosen to stay signed in, that continues. On your other devices, sign in with the new address and the same password.

I no longer know my password and cannot access my old email address. Then “Forgot password” does not work, because the reset code goes to the old address.

Does anything change for my administrations? No. Administration passwords belong to the administration, not to the account, and stay the same. Local work files and backups stay linked to your account.
