Creating reports
Under More > Reports, predefined reports are available at overview, budget, transaction, and cashflow level. For each report, grouping, sorting, and filters can be adjusted. Custom settings can be saved under a custom name.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”-
Go to More > Reports.
-
Select a report from the predefined list.
-
Click Settings to adjust grouping, sorting, or filters.
-
Click a row to expand the details.
-
Optional: save your customised report via Save, give it a name, and reuse it later — saved reports appear at the top of the list.
Predefined reports
Section titled “Predefined reports”- Multi-year overview — income and expenses over multiple years.
- Fixed expenses overview — all fixed expenses listed.
- Monthly expenses — progression per month.
- Annual budget — budget versus actual.
- Account balance — assets, liabilities, and net worth.
- Cashflow over time — income, expenses, and balance over time.
- Cashflow per month — monthly money flows, useful for completeness checks.
Amount display
Section titled “Amount display”The report toolbar has an Amount button with 3 display options:
- 2 decimals — amounts with cents, such as 1,234.56.
- Rounded — whole amounts, such as 1,235.
- Thousands — amounts divided by 1,000, such as 1.
The choice is saved per report, including saved reports. Prognosis reports show rounded amounts by default; the other reports default to 2 decimals. When printing, the first page states which display was used.
Expense report
Section titled “Expense report”Via Transaction reports > Expense report, an overview of transactions with an attached file is created. Filtered by default on transactions with attachments; the filter can be adjusted to, for example, a specific category Expenses.
From the report:
- Print for a clean PDF.
- Download attachments as a single zip file.
Business reports
Section titled “Business reports”For small-business use, two additional reports are available:
- VAT return.
- Profit and loss statement.
For both, a VAT percentage must be set per category. Spendle then calculates amounts excluding VAT, based on the VAT percentage linked to the category of the transaction.
