Insight view
The insight view shows the balance between income and expenses in the selected period. Useful for seeing what remains at the bottom line and how that develops over time.
What is shown
Section titled “What is shown”- Total income — everything received in the period.
- Total expenses — everything spent in the period.
- Result — the difference. Positive when there is a surplus, negative when there is a deficit.
- Trend per period — bars that allow months or years to be compared side by side.
- Position per category — how far from the budget per category.
Comparing periods
Section titled “Comparing periods”Select Year in the period selector and scroll back. Spendle shows the current year alongside earlier years, so differences per category become visible at a glance.
Filter on account or profile
Section titled “Filter on account or profile”The account or profile filter at the top right limits the result to one account or a profile (collection of accounts). See Account profile settings.
Forecast
Section titled “Forecast”With Show forecast enabled in settings, the forecast for the remaining period is calculated based on the budget. This shows the expected year-end outcome. See Forecast.
