Spendle Trends
The Trends card on the dashboard compares income and expenses with the same period last year. Useful for seeing where spending is structurally increasing or decreasing.
What the card shows
Section titled “What the card shows”- Income per category — this year compared to the same period last year.
- Expenses per category — categories where more or less is being spent.
- Percentage difference or amount — increase or decrease compared to last year.
By default, the top 5 categories appear based on the absolute difference compared to last year. Smaller items are grouped under “Other”. Click Other to open all details.
Which period is compared
Section titled “Which period is compared”The comparison covers the same period last year. January through June 2026 is compared with January through June 2025.
In an ongoing month, (YTD — Year To Date) is shown, making clear that the comparison is partial.
Percentage or amount
Section titled “Percentage or amount”The difference is shown as a percentage (“3% more spent”) or as an amount (“€30 more spent”). Click “Difference” in the table header to switch. The choice is remembered.
Hiding the card
Section titled “Hiding the card”To hide the Trends card, click the yellow star to the left of the title. At the bottom of the dashboard, “Show hidden cards” restores it.
