Sync options
Spendle synchronises on two levels: the administration between devices (via the Spendle account) and transactions from the bank (via PSD2). Both have their own settings under More > Settings.
Administration sync
Section titled “Administration sync”- Ask to update administration — Spendle asks whether cloud changes from another device should be downloaded before making local changes.
- Automatic upload — changes are automatically uploaded to the Spendle account.
- Keep a local copy of documents — attachments are saved on the device. Useful for offline use; requires sufficient storage.
PSD2 sync
Section titled “PSD2 sync”- Auto-update PSD2 — retrieves new transactions from linked PSD2 accounts when the administration is opened. To avoid unnecessary syncing, Spendle does this at most once per hour — if the previous sync was less than 60 minutes ago, nothing happens on opening. The Update button in the Import tab can always be used to sync manually.
- Update balance via PSD2 — after each sync, the reference balance is updated to today’s bank balance. Disable this if balance check is to be used.
- Check balance after PSD2 sync (Beta) — compares the bank balance with the calculated balance; works best with balance update disabled.
- Pull to refresh (mobile) — swipe down in the Transactions list to synchronise manually.
Action rule automation
Section titled “Action rule automation”- Ask to create action rules — Spendle asks to create an action rule when similar transactions are found.
- Automatically assign internal transfers — transfers to own accounts automatically receive a transfer category.
