Forgot administration password

The administration password encrypts your data and is not stored on a server. Spendle cannot reset it via email. Recovery is only possible if you are still logged in somewhere.

Still logged in on another device

1. Open the administration on the device where you are still logged in.

2. Go to hamburger menu > [administration name] > Set password and choose a new password. Store it in a password manager as well.

3. Synchronise the administration with your Spendle account.

4. On the other device: open hamburger menu > Open administration > Spendle account and select the administration. Do not open the local working file — it still has the old password.

No longer logged in on any device

If you are logged out on all devices, Spendle cannot recover the password. The administration can then no longer be opened. Creating a new administration is the only option in that case. How many transactions your bank provides via PSD2 depends on the bank.
