From the ideas box — September 2026

The ideas box brought the request to filter on several categories at once, also outside a single group. That is now possible.

In the filter screen, Category, Group, Grouptype, Relation, Tag and Source accept more than one value. Every chosen value appears as a label in the field. The cross on a label removes that value again.

Within one field or applies: a transaction with one of the chosen categories is included. Between fields and applies: a transaction has to match every filled field. The yellow bar at the top summarises the selection.

Behind each of these fields is a minus sign. It opens a second row where you enter values you do not want to see. Excluding takes priority over including: a category in both rows drops out.

A filter with only an exclusion works too. That way you view all expenses except those in one category, for example.

The Budget sheet has its own filter button, in the toolbar next to Print. On a phone the button sits in the menu behind the three dots. The filter screen there shows the period plus Grouptype, Group and Category.

Reports follow the same filter. Save a report with a filter and the complete selection is saved with it. Previously saved reports keep working.

A PSD2 connection can remain on your Spendle account while the administration no longer knows about it. This happens for example after restoring an older backup. Such a connection counted towards your account but was not visible anywhere and could not be removed yourself.

The Import tab now shows such connections with the label Connection lost. The bin icon lets you remove the connection yourself; after that you can connect the bank again. See Connection lost.

The features are available in the web app from September 2026. Activate via Menu → Software update. The Android and iOS apps will follow later.

Ideas are welcome via the ideas box. Not everything can be implemented directly or technically, but every submission is taken into account in the further development of Spendle.
