From the ideas box — July 2026

In the July release, suggestions from the ideas box were incorporated again. The date picker has 2 new periods: Year to end of month and This bookyear. In addition, all reports now offer an amount display option.

Year to end of month runs from 1 January up to and including the end of the month with the latest transaction. That is usually the current month. Year to date stops at the latest transaction itself. This way the budget and prognosis of the current month are fully included. Use the arrows to browse to the same period in earlier years.

A start month bookyear can be set in Settings. The setting is empty by default; the period This bookyear is then not shown in the date picker. After choosing a start month — for example August — the period This bookyear appears in the date picker. This period covers 12 months from the 1st of the start month, shown as Aug 25 - Jul 26. The setting is synchronised with the administration.

The report toolbar has an Amount button with 3 display options: 2 decimals, Rounded (whole amounts) and Thousands. This option was already available in the cashflow, balance, balance check and tax reports. It now also works in the overview, prognosis and transaction reports. The choice is saved per report, including saved reports. When printing, the first page states which display was used.

The features are available in the web app from July 2026. Activate via Menu → Software update. The Android and iOS apps will follow later.

Ideas are welcome via the ideas box. Not everything can be implemented directly or technically, but every submission is taken into account in the further development of Spendle.
