Spendle January 2024 release

In the 6 January 2024 release, user requests and improvements were implemented.

Internal transfers in the transaction chart

Section titled “Internal transfers in the transaction chart”

Internal transfers can now be shown or hidden in the transaction chart. The default has been changed: internal transfers are no longer included in the calculation. Click the “Excl. internal” link to toggle. The chosen setting is retained.

When “Excl. internal” is shown, internal transfers are NOT counted in the chart. When “Incl. internal” is shown, they ARE counted.

Transactions can be sorted in descending order by amount via the filter button. This is useful for categorising large amounts first.

All details of a transaction can be downloaded as a JSON file from the transaction detail view. This file helps support when resolving issues with PSD2 imports.

To keep the administration compact, the additional information of a transaction is retained for a maximum of 14 days.

Accounts can be excluded from synchronisation in a PSD2 bank connection by deselecting them. A custom date range to be retrieved from the bank can also be specified.

Click on a connection under Import to edit the connection details.

Some banks put shop or counterparty information in the memo field. Spendle attempts to convert this to the description, for example by using the text between payment terminal and BEA, or between time - and Card. This helps automatic rules match more reliably.

A transaction can contain three dates: date, booking date and value date. Spendle expects the date on which the transaction took place. Because this information varies or is filled in incorrectly per bank, the earliest date of the three fields is now used.

An issue was resolved that caused pending transactions at some banks to not be correctly converted to the final transaction.

Activate in the web app via Menu → Software update. The Android and iOS updates have been available in the App Store and Google Play since 10 January.
