Forecast
The forecast function extrapolates budgets, fixed expenses, and fixed income into the future. This makes it possible to see before the end of the month or year how things are looking — useful for making adjustments.
Enabling or disabling
Section titled “Enabling or disabling”Open More > Settings and toggle Show forecast on or off. The forecast appears in:
- Insight screen — lines indicating the expected totals.
- Insight view — a line extending to the end of the period.
- Dashboard cashflow — future columns alongside historical ones.
How reliable is it?
Section titled “How reliable is it?”The forecast calculates with:
- Fixed amounts from the budget — if Subscriptions is set to €120, Spendle treats that as fixed.
- Fixed income — salary that arrives monthly on the same date.
- Patterns in history — Spendle recognises that Groceries is usually around €650 per month.
One-off outliers (large purchase, holiday) are not included. Use the forecast as a direction, not a prediction.
